Expanding the Building Performance Partnership
The Building Performance Partnership (BPP), an initiative founded by the Building Energy Exchange (BE-Ex) and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) in 2021, is a collaborative network of high-performance building resource centers, also known as hubs, engaging regional stakeholders to advance local building energy efficiency and decarbonization. Today, it announces the expansion to include three new organizations: Aspen CORE (Aspen, CO), the Better Buildings Hub (Philadelphia, PA), and the Building Performance Exchange (Boston, MA). It is also unveiling its new brand ahead of a Fall website launch.
As energy costs rise, building owners and operators are increasingly looking for ways to cut costs. At the same time, cities are focused on buildings as a way to meet their carbon reduction goals because, in most cases, buildings are the primary driver of their carbon pollution.
The BPP Network provides a forum for participating hubs to share best practices, resources, and experiences with each other, enabling partners to augment limited resources –including creating opportunities for joint funding initiatives, collaborative projects, and participation in network campaigns–without sacrificing programmatic excellence.
These hubs, in turn, provide building industry resources to their local communities. BPP Network Partners provide education, training, financing solutions, policy support, and efficiency tools that support policy compliance and reduce risk for building owners while improving occupant quality of life, reducing costs, and driving reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
